Senior Systems Engineer

As a member of our team, you will take ownership of design development and implementation of client projects. This includes collaborating with client executives, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements, resolve systems issues, and ensure smooth operation of software and systems. You will also develop Statements of Work, evaluate and improve existing systems, integrate servers, and maintain secure network environments for all clients.

Additionally, you will create and maintain system documentation, address client account issues promptly, and drive technological advancements. You will interact professionally with clients and employees, mentor and advise System Support Engineers, and serve as an escalation resource for high-level tickets. Furthermore, you will explore and expand the implementation of new technologies within the company, conducting testing and evaluation, fulfilling client contracts, and participating in an on-call rotation as needed, typically once every 8 to 12 weeks.

Preferred qualifications for this role include holding certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, and VMware VCP.

Requirements:

Extensive experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of enterprise systems, with a proven track record in systems planning, security principles, and general network management best practices.
Thorough knowledge of the information technology industry, including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft infrastructure management.
Subject matter expertise in the Microsoft infrastructure space, encompassing network analysis and construction, database management systems, network management, and the alignment of technology with clients' business needs.
Proficiency in commercial and enterprise firewalls, ensuring robust security measures, as well as experience and extensive knowledge of backup systems implementation.
Experience managing optimal operation of network hardware and equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, UPS, etc.
Proficiency in virtualization technology and architecture, specifically VMWare/HyperV, as well as centralized storage and SAN solutions for efficient data management.
Strong strategic problem-solving skills and business acumen, coupled with the ability to see the big picture while focusing on necessary details to accomplish goals.
Excellent client-facing skills, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude when interacting with colleagues, partners, and clients.
The ability to manage difficult or stressful work-related issues, demonstrate strong time management skills, and handle assigned deliverables effectively.
Physical agility and strength, including the ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs., along with extensive use of computer equipment.

Qualifications:

Preference given to candidates with professional technical training or a college degree.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, and related systems.
In-depth knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery.
Demonstrated expertise in technical aspects, strong business acumen, and strategic problem-solving skills (will be assessed).
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and effective communication abilities
Possession of a valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
